Recently, one of Rex & Roxy’s favorite customers, Crosby, moved to New Jersey. Sure, he may have his own big back yard now and feet of snow to frolic in, but there’s no way any of that could compare to the joyous times he had at Rex & Roxy’s. We offer the following pictures as evidence:

This is a picture of Crosby on his last day at Rex & Roxy’s. You can practically hear his heart breaking!!

Thanksgiving hijinks at Rex & Roxy’s!
Over the Thanksgiving holidays, Rex and Roxy’s hosted it’s famous annual Simon Says competition. The excitement at this event was overwhelming! The yearly Simon Says competition always promises an action packed afternoon, and this contest did not disappoint! Here are some of the highlights from Rex & Roxy’s 5th annual Simon Says Spectacular….

Tallulah was disqualified early in the game with this careless mistake. “Simon Says sniff the ground.” Pay attention Tallulah!

Dylan was the next to go. “Simon Says look to the east.” Other east Dylan!!

Zorro’s misstep came in round 10. “Simon Says right foot out.” Better luck next time Zorro.

Ducky hung on until late in the game when she was finally out-Simoned by Linus. “Stick out your tongue.” Oh no Ducky, Simon didn’t say!!!

There was a dead heat between the rest of the competitors until the bitter end. Spike won by a thin margin. “Simon Says sit down and look extremely handsome.” Good job Spike! Congrats to this year’s winner!!

Should some dogs be equipped with airbags??
After a harrowing collision with Wrigley, Ozzie H. has been asking some pretty tough safety questions.

Granted Ozzie should have noticed Wrigley, who outweighs him by almost two to one, but sometimes accidents just happen. Needless to say, Ozzie will be asking for a helmet and some elbow pads for Christmas this year. Be safe!

Why Cats Are Not Allowed at Rex & Roxy’s…a special feature by Jillian Fay

Special guest reporter Jillian Fay, shown below hard at work, has recently written a feline expose that we at the Weekly Scoop would like to share with our readers.

Cats, fuzzy friends or menace to society? By Jillian Fay
Though many cats have infiltrated American homes claiming to be “part of the family”, man’s best friends have not been so fooled. Kittens may be cuddly, and cats may purr, but the hidden claws of the enemy are not far below the surface. Thanks to a trusty telephoto lens and extensive sleuthing experience, I have managed to reveal the true nature of our feline foes. Just a warning, the following photos may be unsuitable for some younger readers. The first picture demonstrates how cats are prone to violence. This cat was caught in the midst of a hold up. Though the details are unclear, I’m sure the feline mafia was involved.

In addition to violence, this next photo clearly shows that cats have a propensity for gluttony and will in fact steal your beer.

Is this the kind of role model you want lurking around your home? This final photo is difficult to explain. I’m not sure what is going on here, but never trust an animal that can do this:

In conclusion, cats are untrustworthy, violent, gluttonous, and weird. Take it from me, Jillian Fay, never let one of these fuzzy creatures into your home. Adopt a dog instead!

We’ll miss you Lola P.!!!
This week’s Weekly Scoop will be dedicated to Lola P. Lola, who has recently passed, was a loyal and beloved Rex & Roxy’s customer for over five years. We know that Lola was loved deeply by her family, but she was also loved by her extended family at Rex & Roxy’s.

Always right by your side and generous with her affection, Lola was never one to turn down a good petting or a hug.

Our hearts go out to Lola’s family during this hard time. We at Rex & Roxy’s join anyone that ever had the privilege to know Lola in saying that we will miss her terribly. She will be in our hearts forever.

Rest in Peace Lola. We love you!

These kinds of things are never easy. We received the news today that Lola P. passed away last week.

Lola P has been coming to Rex & Roxy’s for a little more than 5 years now. All of our dogs are special to us, but this particular pups death really hit us all hard.

Lola P. was a very special girl to us at Rex & Roxy’s and she will be missed beyond any words we can express.

Rest In Peace Little Lola - We will miss you so very much.
