Continually making improvements…

On Monday, January 23rd (weather permitting), Rex & Roxy’s will be having our awning replaced.

We are not sure what this will do to in and out traffic – but we ask that you please excuse the demolition. If you normally come on Mondays, you might want to come on Tuesday. We aren’t closing – but we have no idea how this will affect the parking lot, etc.

RNR’S OWN JILLIAN TO REPLACE CANTORE AT THE WEATHER CHANNEL

(AP – Atlanta, GA)

In a surprise move announced today by The Weather Channel, top
hurricane expert and field reporter, Jim Cantore has been
replaced by Rex & Roxy's own, Jillian Fay.

The 26 year veteran with The Weather Channel is best known for
his live field coverage of major weather events, such as
Hurricanes and his ability to break down complicated weather
events into terms the average viewer could understand.



Jillian currently stars on The Weather Channel's popular
weather program, "Weekends with Jill" when she's not at
Rex & Roxy's.



Weather Channel insiders reveal that executives felt that
Cantore's beefcake image was being trumped by Fay's educational
background and natural instincts to predict the weather and
wind patterns.  

"Jillian can predict changes in wind speed in a matter of seconds
while Mr. Cantore has to provide his audience with over-the-top
explanations and Academy Award like performances to show off how
the human body can withstand Hurricane force winds.
Studies show that certain audiences seek a more calming moderate
in the face of natural disasters." 

   

Weather Channel insiders reveal that Jillian's calm, cool and
natural nature in predicting the weather would be better for
their viewers. 

"She's just so natural and calming in the face of danger, unlike
Mr. Cantore's GET OUT OR DIE style of broadcasting",
sources reveal.





The "Weekend Weather with Jill" series will
continue and executives are discussing seeking
a replacement for the popular anchor.

Jillian's twin brother from another mother, Jack, is said to be
top on the list to replace the popular weekend anchor.

In his usual third person like quoting style, Jack, replied to
the speculation, "These are some big ears to fill, but I think
Jack is The Weather Channel's best option".
